Recently nominated for Jazz Artist of the Year for the 2009 Los Angeles Music Awards, Aysha has a solid history as a performer and independently released her first CD “Love Is A Rock which has caught the attention of many prominent people in the industry.

Before going solo, Aysha helped to form and performed with the female group Girls In The Mix. “Girls” opened for such performers as Zapp w/Roger and WAR. Aysha went on to perform with Ronkat and the Funklectiks featuring Grammy Award nominated writer, Ron Spearman.

Aysha has developed a style that will soothe most any soul. Her velvety voice is sultry and smooth with a jazzy edge, and with influences such as Sade, Phyllis Hyman and Chante Moore, one can only imagine the vibe. Co-writing the majority of her songs, Aysha has been fortunate to work with some very successful producers and arrangers such as Monty Seward (Howard Hewett), Donald Tavié (Lakeside, Norman Connors) and Kevin Dorsey (Michael Jackson), to name a few.

Aysha’s sophomore CD is currently in production. Marlon McClain and Monty Seward have been brought in to produce the project, bringing in key musicians to help contribute to the success of her sophomore release. Her first song entitled “Keep On Loving Me“ from the project is already getting airplay on Broadcast Architecture’s Smooth Jazz stations across the country in their New Music Hour program.

Earning the title, #1 Independent Artist on Roc-Life Radio which airs on Live365.com along with the e-magazine articles/interviews with U Magazine at www.kingsharkentertainment.com, B.I.G the Magazine at www.bigthemagazine.com, Nine5Four Magazine at www.nine5four.com, an audio interview with Soul Interviews based in Sweden at www.soulinterviews.com and featured in the Moving Up On the Spot” section of Redjoint.com at www.redjoint.com, Aysha is rapidly growing a fan base in and outside of the US.

Currently in negotiations for a major distribution deal, it’s only a matter of time before Aysha becomes an internationally known name!
